Separating ball joints
To separate the ball joints from the car, as in the tie rods and the hubs and all that, I am told to use an air hammer. I cannot for the life of me find out what bit to use for the task though. All the ones I am finding are for cutting sheet metal and brick and such.

ya i knew that already, the big hammer worked last time, just now that I have air and air hammer I might as well put it to good use

just go to kragen and rent the front end ball joint removal kit. it has this ball joint remover that works really well and you dont have to worry about hitting your balljoint by accident. its like 100 deposit and you get it back when you return the kit. autozone, and pepboys may have it too

USe a 4 ft pry bar that demolition companies use. I have used that and have had no problems. I have recenly purchased the ball joint separator but you have to make sure you use the wider one that does not rip up your ball joint.
If that doesnt work go get a bolt that will fit the threads of the ball joint and put the bolt on just enough where it will cover the threads and hit it with a hammer to knock it out. If you do not put a bolt on it you will damage the threads and you will not be able to put the bolt back on. Does that make any sense?

ya, I just hate going about it like that. I had to slam on the balljoint to get my old tie rods off because they were pretty done for and stuck to the hub, and it blew them up and all, but it wasn't like I had to re-use them.
I'll give those ideas a try though.
The reason I made this thread was because I got air tools and a hammer, and thought that I might as well put them to good use.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=887859 (I used a 26 mm box-end wrench instead of a 1/2 inch socket wrench. It doesn't really matter what you use, so long as it fits snug when the hub is jacked all the way up.)
