I left work at lunch to run some errands in my cage today. I was in Huntington Beach and you see tons of guys on bikes. Well, I was at a light in my Prelude and some guy slowly creeps up past me on his black CBR600RR. I didn't notice right away so I could only make out his black hooded sweat shirt that read Ride or Die across that back.
I was thinking, he's either a huge squid or some KrAzY StuNAHNa!! So anyways.. the light turns green and the cars started to move. I usually don't stay behind slow moving vehicles and I notice the Accord in front of me change lanes to get around a Chevy minivan. I paused for a second because I thought the guy on the bike would take the opportunity to squirt past the car in front of him and take the open spot but he didn't budge so I sped up and changed lanes.
Then this clown goes around me and changes lane right in front of me when there was all this space everywhere around. Then he rides all ******* slow and ****. That's when I noticed his new plates. So I changed lanes and drove right by him.
I came up to a stop so I did my usual heel and toe stop. Then his joker rides up next to me, leans towards my window and gives me some sort of sarcastic thumbs up. I guess this newb thought I was trying to rev up on him with my stock exhaust.
This dude couldn't even split lanes. He was splitting lanes the 1st time I got a glimpse of him but he stopped because the next vehicle was a box truck.
Anyways, I guess he thinks he's the **** with his new toy, wearing his sneakers and a hooded sweat shirt that read Ride or Die like the true G's. You must feel like a real man!

I can totally picture this. Lately in Orange County I've been seeing a lot of squids. Late at night in front of my house I would hear someone with their bike revving in front of my house and taking off and I know it's no body I know of.

I couldn't wish that on him. Just wish people wouldn't be such poseurs.

witnessed a rider weaving through traffic on a local road (crown valley) as if he was on four wheels. Wasn't accomplishing anything as far saving time since he would slow down as soon as he got in front of traffic. Popping wheelies at stoplights and tailgating cars.

Vapor is in my neck of the woods.
Ive actually seen quite a few high school kids with their tiny cut pipes on 600RR's trying to set a personal land speed record on moulton/golden lantern.

I always find it funny when peopel ride bikes in hoodies. I remember riding my bike once in a hoodie. I thought the sweat shirt material must have a lot of drag, because I was really being pulled back on my bike. It wasn't until I bumped my rear view mirror that I realized my hood was ballooned up over my helmet acting as a big ole' parachute.
Back to the topic, you dont' have to worry about me squiding! 60% of cars are faster than my bike
. I also learned to NOT draft certain semi's they don't like this and if they realized your back there, they go in the gravel

Squidding and speeding are not mutually inclusive.
Riding slow and holding up traffic, agrivating cagers, and putting yourself at risk is in the squidding handbook right after the "Gear" section.
