Default 92 SI 4WS cranking question

a co worker of mine just bought his daughter a 92 SI 4WS.

he said it cranks up fine, but if you turn it off and try to crank it again in like 5 or 10 minutes, it takes a few times, but if it sits there for a while just chillen, then it starts up first time, but really annoying to like run into the bank or the store, and have to sit there trying to crank the car for about 5 or 6 times

thought on what this problem is?

Is it flooding? Have him pull a spark plug when he turns the car off to see if it is soaked with gas.

Also, how old is the distributor cap and rotor?

You might wanna tell him to look into getting a main relay also. I had this problem when I first bought my lude and it hasn't been an issue since I swapped the relay.
