the only piston that Wiseco lists for the D16Y8 is not a high compression piston - it is lower compression than stock - it is also for 75.5mm bore, which means if you have stock bore, you will need to bore the block - the Wiseco pistons also utilize full floating pins, which means you would need aftermarket rods - your compression ratio will be pretty low, depending on what head, what gasket, etc. you use
you have to get a custom made piston for the jdm d15, the jdm d15 has the same rods as a 1.6. but a piston all of its own...staying obdo with the d15b vtec is a bad idea..if you are trying to get power out of one your motor..just convert to obd1 get it tuned and do it right..i had obdo on my d15vtec it sucked ***..obd1 made a big difference
edit.. i they arent wiseco pistons.. GRR..ther p2p pistons from a d16y8 will have pics later..thanx 4 the reply and about the obd0..i love it im running a crx si ecu the car redlines at 72k rpms stock an wen vtec is on 8k flat with out a problem...
