Default d16y8 wiseco pistons in a d16a6...

im getting a set of hi compression Wiseco pistons for 35 (used) the pistons are out of a d16y8 motor.#1 wanna noe whats its gonna take to put them in a d16a6 or in a jdm d15b..question #2 how do i buy new rings for them..and last question...#3 can i run a obd0 vtec ecu (pr3) to open vtec on a jdm single d15b..( swap is still obd0 )..thanx

the only piston that Wiseco lists for the D16Y8 is not a high compression piston - it is lower compression than stock - it is also for 75.5mm bore, which means if you have stock bore, you will need to bore the block - the Wiseco pistons also utilize full floating pins, which means you would need aftermarket rods - your compression ratio will be pretty low, depending on what head, what gasket, etc. you use

you have to get a custom made piston for the jdm d15, the jdm d15 has the same rods as a 1.6. but a piston all of its own...staying obdo with the d15b vtec is a bad idea..if you are trying to get power out of one your motor..just convert to obd1 get it tuned and do it right..i had obdo on my d15vtec it sucked ***..obd1 made a big difference

edit.. i they arent wiseco pistons.. GRR..ther p2p pistons from a d16y8 will have pics later..thanx 4 the reply and about the obd0..i love it im running a crx si ecu the car redlines at 72k rpms stock an wen vtec is on 8k flat with out a problem...

STOCK...ur playing ..the guy that sold them 2 me said they wer high compresion pistons..that would fit my d16a6..or like he said any 1.6 motor'' ill have pics in 5 min..
