just wondering if b series trannys have any common leak spots? my gsr trans was popping out of fifth and i found that it only had like half a quart of motor oil in it, so i flushed that out and filled it with syncromesh and now its good but i can still smell the leak(falls onto header and burns off). So yeah where should i check? i cant seem to find the leak, and i want her ready for the next street legals in fontana. Thanks

Maybe it's still some left over fluid? But then again, it should've all been burned away by now. Interesting?

 

You know what, spray it down with a light application of water and then drive it around for a day or two and check it again, and obviously keep an eye on the fluid level. I think you should be able to find a leak if there is one, so it probably is some leftover fluid.

 

okay i'll go clean it off really good right now, this **** scares me but i have to drive it

 

its probly the seals leaking on to the intermidate shaft

 

how hard is that to change?

 

the leak looks like its coming from the passenger side, any ideas
