hey...just wanted to tell you accord owners of my fun adventures up angeles crest hwy. if you guys don't know where that is...its about 20 minutes outside of los angeles...it connects to palmdale. i took angeles crest for about 9 miles, and took my h23 to about 60ish mph all the way...running in 2nd gear at 5k-6500. but the downside of this time, running on blacks up front But it was alright. please dont' kill me for posting my adventure please remember to drive safely.

Did you run into any police? I used to live in La Canada, now Pasadena, and every time I ran up there I'd see at least one cop hiding in a turnout.
How many motorcycles passed you?

vantage: i got lucky i guess..i didn't run into any cops or anything...only a few bikes were going up.

accord94dx: i'm planning to run my car in a week or so at palmdale...so i'll post my times then...hopefully nothing to bad

How often do you go up there, around what time is good to go? I live pretty close to angeles crest it sounds like fun.

 

vantage: i've been to lacr many times...but i've never run but my first time ever at a drag strip wil occur within a week or so

the crest is the s*it. take it to the palmdale split go another 5 or so miles to the turn to Big Tijunga Rd. follow that till you get back to the valley. one of the sweet spots where you can actually open it up.
beware: weekends are the WORST days to hit the canyon!!! all the bikes attract tons of cops-and they don't f**k around up there.

theres another WAY better canyon to hit w/o the threat of the pigs: glendora mtn. road. it's a secondary access road with switchbacks like a tour track. but be sure you know your abilities before you commit to the cliff.

Thats not my point. My point is, that H23 looks like its only got 1 cam, like my F22A. This is a shot of an H23 from a Prelude Si:

So that engine in the white Accord doesnt look like an H23.

 

gennady..wtf? Dude, that is a true H23a1 in the accord. The Pic you posted is an H22a, thus the DOHC VTEC on the valvecover.

so lemme clarify....you guys thought my h23 was messed up...because you thought it was a h22?...i have no vtec only a simple dohc. so nothing is wrong with my car....well....i hope. ok...adios accord muchachos
