Default F22A1 vs F23A5

Guys,

A friend of mine with prelude 95 with F22A1 has a head problem.

since head is hard to find, we wanna swap a F23A5 Accord SOHC 98 engine into this car.

Any suggestions regarding fitment, ecu, harnass, distributor we should now before we swap this.

Rishi

you will need to use teh f23 intake and exhaust manifolds for sure, and then also probably do some sort of custom extension from teh header to exhaust as well.

Ok, the thing is like this.

We imported a SOHC CIVIC 95 VTEC engine from hondaspecialist in Miami, to Curacao, Island next to Aruba.

Hondaspecialist send a Honda accord 98 F23A5 engine instead, which give us a lof of problems, since this was not what was asked for the Civic.

Now a other friend with Prelude 95 has a head problem, and since Fseries, we are thinking to sell him this Acord engine, since its here for nothing.

I assume we need then also a conversion ECU cable for obd1 to obd2a?

rest of parts we will buy are then>distributor Accord F23A5

The Ex manifold is on the engine.

he hsould run the 94-95 accord ex ecu to make it easiest thoug he may need to bump fuel pressure up slightly with it. i would also use the 94-95 accord ex distributor as well.
