Default Installing a tact

I was wondering if you guys can help me with which wire to connect to behind the cluster for a tach. i don't want to connect it to the distributor. thanks. oh yea my car is a 00 civic and i have an autometer tact

There is a blue wire in the engine bay tap into it. Its the factory rpm signal wire. Its by the mastercylinders in the engine bay. Least its there on my 96 civic.

i have an autometer and i hooked it all up to my ECU ...anyone tell me if this is bad that i did this ...it works no problems....o and i also have a 00 si

why do you need a tach? is the one on the cluster not good enough?


tachs are for drag racing, not looking cool.


btw, theres a single blue wire on your driver side shock tower plug. use that.

All these can be spliced into the cluster harness so you don't have to run wires through the firewall.

1. Green tach signal wire splices into solid blue cluster wire.
2. White lighting wire splices into red/black cluster wire.
3. Red power wire splices into black/yellow cluster wire.
4. Black ground wire grounds to any bolt behind dash.
