helper springs?

Default helper springs?

i have bilstien pss9's on my s2000 and was curious what the purpose of the helper springs.

keep the spring fully seated when at full droop, wheel is off the ground. once the car is on the ground, it does nothing but function as a spacer.

They are actually tenders and have rate. They effect the overall spring rate.

but only up to the point they bottom out, then they become a spacer. which looks pretty soon. but you be still da man.

whats tenders? never heard that term before in suspension. can you possibily explain a little more? thanks.
