Default S2k cold air install??

I did a search and didnt come up with any results, I need to take my air filter off my Injen CAI and clean it, whats the best way to get the filter off, take the wheel and go through the splash shield cover or is there another better way to do it? Need some input from you gear heads and no i didnt install it to begin with it was on the car when I bought it.
