What's the point of this thread? To tell us all that you're like 1500 miles early on your oil change and you beat the **** out of your car? I just lose any respect for anyone who says they "crack" vtec.

im at 750 miles now. i kept it below 5k miles, going beyond that just once for fun. didnt even have to try to vary the speed, i do a nice mix of highway and local anyhow. once oil life goes 50%, im going to get it changed early to get rid of all the possible metal shavings.

now that i passed 600 mile recommended break-in, i've redlined it once or twice only... FUN!

well...to tell ya the truth the break-in oil they put on new cars is there for a reason or the manual would have stated otherwise.
5K miles(not kilometers) is the right ammount of miles for your first schedule unless you push it to the limit 24/7. But other than that, 5K is fine. If you change it after 1K or 1.5K ur just throwing your money away but to each their own. Its your money, your car, your annual savings going down the drain =D
