MotoGP of Portugal Practice 1&2 results
things seem to be shaping up for an exciting race
I love how McCoy on the 800cc is still faster then Cardoso
Hayden is 2nd fastest too with Rossi being slightly slower. Granted we all know this doesn't mean too much since as long as Rossi qualifies in the grid he has the ability to get to the front. Can't wait till tomorrow and Sunday

Gravel surfing according to SOUP.
Marco Melandri, who recently re-signed with Fausto Gresini's satellite squad, fell on only his second lap, and was taken to the medical center on a stretcher. The extent of the injury to his leg had still to be released by the team.

Melandri wrecked and was treated for a contusion of the left knee... Funny enough in the first practice they said the Ilmor team started out with a different kind of "bang" when the bike started pouring out smoke before ever leaving the pit lane. lol They still got practicing in as you can see. I'm impressed so far with it considering they're new comers and are running against the 990's right now. the 800's seem promising
my money is that hayden and rossi podium but someone else wins.
who knows. it's anyones game. if hayden's clutch doesn't expletive up and they both qualify well with weather good on sunday... who knows

I'm telling ya. Rossi has someone on the inside of HRC
I hope Stoner doesn't get in the way of anyone. And I'm more worried about Capirossi than Hayden for Rossi. Go!!!!!!!46!

This is the first time in 3 years that Honda has had a legitimate shot at stuffing Rossi out of a GP championship...... I think that they're just bluffing and that they've fixed it.
The other teams probably dont care one way or the other whether its fixed or not, since at that level you cant let the head games get to you and stick to your own strategy.

Im not a fan of hayden but I must admit hes pretty consistent when it comes to staying on the bike under pressure. Colid Edwards and Sete Gibernau is a different story.

I understand RJ, but five races does not a season make. Unfortunately having grown up around the f1 races I find putting things in perspective is essential when figuring out who's the **** and who's merely lucky. And Honda doesn't have ****, HOWEVER, the future may change that as riders develop and begin to mature. Dont get me wrong, nick is faster than I will ever be... but is he fast enough for the competition?

Well who's on top of the points standings for both rider and manufacturer?
Everyone is in agreement that Rossi is the fastest man out there and he will be the one to beat until he retires. But you still need the bike and a strong team behind you to take home the championship. And when you have problems... the field is really deep and there are 4 or 5 other riders that have a shot at the championship if issues arise. You wont see a 10-win season from anyone for a long time, IMHO.
