Default F2 & BC coilovers

What is the difference between the F2’s type II and BC Racing coilover? Is the price different? Is the quality different?

I think F2 Type II and BEc coilovers come from the same manufacturer in Taiwan, but F2 Type II coilover has better quality than BC ..... because it has been improved.

BuddyCLub Race Spec coilovers cost 400.00 more. You get what you pay for.

Are you talking about Buddy Club Racing Specs? Because they certainly don't blow. They might not be the best available, but they have a fairly reasonable price and a very broad range of adjustment, unlike most of the JDM crap that has little to no range, despite having 36 clicks or whatever.

My comments are based on first-hand experience, with plenty of street and track use, just for the record here.

Do you lie to me? I installed BCtec coilovers last month and I found 3 struts had a problem with oil leaking. The quality is extremely interfior.

Gotcha, that clears things up a bit. Buddy Club (BC) RACING Spec and BC Racing, easy to mix up. Poor choice of name for BC Racing, I might add.

Was there any kind of manufacturing warranty or anything? That's absurdly poor quality if they leak that soon.

Shocks do not really have a "lifespan". It all depends on what kind of punishment they were put through. Even the best shocks can blow in 5 days if they're constantly being put through trauma, i.e., potholes, uneven 90 degree inclines, being dropped too low, etc.

Oh, I agree. But for several people to be simultaneously saying the same thing, sounds a bit odd.

I get frustrated and upset, especially I have not got any feedback from the shop where I purchased the BCtec coilovers. What I care is their attitude toward to the problem, I spent money and time already.

mmm..... I forgot to mention something:

BCtec coilover was known as HAC 5 years ago,
and then it changed to Racing Type RX 3 years ago ....
last year it changed to BCtec ....
It's very odd, I am wondering why they keep changing their brands and what their next brand is???

Business trouble would be my guess, especially given what seems to be poor quality.

My friend from Taiwan told me BCtec coilovers had a problem with their quality every 1 or 2 years so that’s the reason why they kept changing the brand name.
Their reputation was very bad then so they were forced to change to different brand name that people didn't know.

This thread is quite funny. All noobs, downgrading our coilovers. The only honda kits released here and sold have been s2000. All the other hondas are being released now. I'd go to the other forums and check around before you take credibility of the post. We have yet to have any issues as we opened our North America distribution center as of May 06, no repairs or replacements. Our kits have a manufacturers warranty, I would think that you would call the manufacturer not the vendor for warranty issues. Why would a vendor not deal with it anyways if it's under warranty they wouldn't loose anything. New companies are not well accepted by other manufacturers and companies. I will say this, as BC is a manufacturer that does private labels why would so many companies have them built by BC if they were a bad manufacturer? If you want some real reviews check out evo, sti, srt4 and a few other forums for the real deal. How about some pics of our leaking kits

I am just wondering if you have any experience with customer service, manufacturer warranty as you just opened your North America distribution center.

Do you have shock dyno numbers to show me??
