What do you all think is the best rear lower tie bar. I am getting the ITR sway bar in a few days and I am looking for information on for a tie bar to go with it.

Neuspeed! All solid, not hollow. Comes with longer bolts and big washers. I felt the difference especially when auto-xing (I have a sway bar too). The rear got tighter and it helps maintain your alignment settings.
I bought the black one (above) for $69.95 + ship. from shox.com. Total price was about $80. I heard DC flexes more than it should.

just use the bsq reinforcing kit?
Benen bar is nice, I have it
If I could do it again I'd probably go all comptech...but that's in a perfect world where money grows on trees and there are little chocolate bunnies...err anywho. Neuspeed, Benen, Comptech, they pretty much all do the same thing and in the end the difference is probably not even noticed.

I LOVE MY COMPTECH. Bought it second hand, red anodized 22mm set w/swaybar for $250 unused... something about a guy that put it in a shop on consignment which he bought for his chic who blew some other guy... I got lucky in other words.
I painted the thang flat black. No One sees my extra GGGGGs... which is
what I like

get the skunk 2!! its a solid piece! dc sports looks the best but has too much flex.
Cusco and Benen are both top notch. I would also say Comptech is up there as well. But... I've found Comptech items to be overpriced copies of other items with there name tag on it. Benen products, if you have ever seen them you know, are TOP QUALITY. Fabulous quality and fair prices for what you get.

If there's any comptech part that trounces the competition, its the rear lower tie/sway bar (combo of 2 things)
. Their front strut tower bar is also stiffer than anything else out there. Yeah, overpriced, but its the best imo.

The comptech peice is nice. It mounts almost just like the stock itr one. It is pricey tho compared to the skunk2. The pic really doesnt show how it mounts but gives the idea of the setup.
In answer to your question GSRrR, "do they really help in handling", not really that much no. The only time you might notice the car is a little tighter back there is in very hard cornering and when auto-xing I noticed it a bit. Now this had a weird effect on my car. On my first auto-x event after I got the tie bar installed, I noticed the tail was coming around much easier than before and I had not adjusted the Konis since my last auto-x. So after a couple of runs it dawned on me that the only thing different was the addition of the tie bar. I had to dial down the Konis just a little bit in the rear, because if I let off the gas a little in a transition, the car was willing to go sideways a little bit more than before when I had no tie bar.
So I 'd say it's hardly noticeable on the street and slightly noticeable under auto-x racing conditions. That's the best I can describe it..
