Default Need some help, my 90 civic sedan is acting up

Ok here it is, my civic sedan jerks when climbing up a hill. It also jerks like crazy when you don't heat up the car before you drive it. It accelerate fine when driving on a even road but, it will start to jerk when driving up.

Let me know where to check please..

If its an automatic I would check your fluid level. Had this problem once with a duty van (VW) where the fluid was low and it finally tossed out the reverse gear and fubared the transmission.

If a manual might just need a new clutch?

Check your spark plug wires and dizzy.

Check your timing.

Check the spark plugs.

Check your fuel pump and regulater.

ETC.....

How does it jerk. I.E floor it and it jerks round

my first thought was a misfire, but the auto tranny issue could explain it, too. I don't think it could be the clutch.
