I did a search and didnt find what i was looking for... who has installed this kit on a fifth gen.. im putting one in a friends fifth gen EX, and i dont know where to mount the damn control box.. i didnt know how big this thing is.. any suggestions/pics would be much appreciated.. thanks

 

I know that this does not answer your specific question, but anyway. I installed the ZEX kit on my Integra and ran into the same problem...no good mounting spot for the control module in the engine compartment. I installed mine on the passenger floor board up under the dash. It is out of the way from being accidentally kicked and it made for an easier install. Changing the jets is easier in this location as well (for me).

mine is on the firewall behind the fusebox.

 

do you have a pic of that?? do you still have cruise control?? thats the only thing i remember that sits next to the fuse box.. i was thinking about removing cc cause he says it doesnt work anymore.. ant pics would be appreciated thanks..

 

Forgot you had a fancy schmancy EX. My DX doesnt want anything to do with cruise control. The Box is behind my catch can.

 

Since I nave a AEM short intake I put the zex controller under the intake filter, hope that help

When I still had the ZEX kit on my car, I moved the battery to the trunk and mounted the box where the battery was. This might be a little more work then you are looking for, but to me it was worth it.

for track use, they usually require the control mod to be mounted on the firewall. i have mine mountes on thie passenger side of the engine bay, next to the battery. there is barely enough room for it, and when i change jets, i have to take out the battery.

 

I put mine on the firewall (passenger side) behind and a little below the cruise control.Just unbolt the cruise and mount the control unit. Then bolt the cruise back on.It's nice there because your line with the jet can go right into your intake and the line from the back can go right up into the engine bay from underneath.
