Default engine came today, what to do B4 install?

Okay, I did search but found nothing. Here's my q:
I just got my D15b vtec that is replacing my Z6 while I build it for boost.
What steps do I need to take before dropping it in my hatch?

When I dropped the z6 before, it came out of my eg coupe, so i knew it was in good working order. All the swaps I've done have been with KNOWN working engines. I purchased the d15b from a place in cali and I just wanna make sure I don't over look anything that could damage it. I am transplanting most of my accessories to it.
Any pointers on re-torquing head bolts, replacing gaskets, things to do or avoid?

All HELP will be appreciatred.
Thanx

Well if u got it from a junk i'm pretty sure they weren't trying to pull the head off or anything. So your head studs should be in good shape, take a torque wrench to them and make sure they are to spec if your concerned. I would say though since the motors outta the car check the timing belt just cause its easier to get too and torque down those flywheel bolts too. But since it's a beater motor till ur done with your boost setup the easiest thing to do is throw it in and say a prayer. Odds are its gonna be ok though dude. It's a single cam, you can almost run them on water.

Good luck with ur projects

OH yea...go to walmart and spend like 10 bux on carb cleaner....spray down the motor and you will be blingin until that turbo Z6 is in there!!!!
