I just got my car back on the road, and at first I thought it just had bad gas in it it wasn't running as good as it should. sputtered here and there.

But now that I have drove it for a day or so when I get to 4500-5000 rpm the tach starts bouncing around from like 4-9k shift light flashing and it sounds like it may be misfiring. I have a gsr swap in my eg.

WHat could be the causing the problem?

I thought maybe a bad connection to the autometer tach but that wouldn't cause misfiring.

Coil? cap/rotor?

Does it throw a cell?

so how's your idle? does it idle fine or is it out of whack.

im thinkin it maybe a iac vlave.

 

check the connections of the ingnitor in the distributor

 

yes i could most likely be the dizzy if you have no other problems...does the engine run good?

 

It idles fine, its deffinately not the iac. It does sputter here and there, slight loss of power almost like its missing.

Is the igniter the coil in the dizzy(little black box, or is it something else?

 

My car was doing a lot of that for a while, I had water in my distributor. Is your distributer all fine?

 

no its that little box with i believe three or so wires with spade type connectors on them.
