Default TUNING B18B ALL MOTOR, NEED ADVICE!!!!!!@$@^%&

Im finally getting my motor rebuilt after dreaming about it for months!! Right now my new B18B cylinder head is getting ported, polished, matched, valve job, and valves worked over. When its done it will be fitted with a complete BrainCrower setup(stg2 cams, dual spring/ret. kit). Then the bottom end will be stuffed with OEM P73-AO pistons and rods will get ARP rodbolts after rod ends, and walls are honed. After all this crap, the entire motor will recieve new seals hopefully making a bulletproof, reliable, fun machine to daily drive.

BUT my question is how to properly tune it with a tight budget. The car is OBD2(99 integra GS by the way) , so im going to need the OBD1 ecu and jumper cable right? With that ecu will A/C and all current aux. be untouched? The car needs to be in and out of the shop as fast as possible also. So Can someone tell me what I need to know, or where to find the info? Thanks

P.S.- I dont mean to be a jerk, but please dont reply to this topic if you truly havnt tuned the B-series, or have the experience. AND I really dont care to hear from kids asking why I didnt go the Vtec route.

Why did'nt you go the vtec route???????

jk

Here are a couple of things i did. Not sure if it will help but what ever

1. p28 chipped
2. vafc ( p28 had a tune on it that was a little rich and i wanted to play with the activation point) and i didnt have a rom burner to tune on the fly with.
3. Dyno session

with this and basic bolt on i went from 157 whp too 163.9

look at my sig if you want to get a p28 chipped for your specific set-up as it might be different since i have a Gsr.

I say (from experience) find a P28 or P75 ECU. Get a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper, and have your ECU chipped to run Crome. Crome is a great program and very cost effective. Most tuners seem to find it easy to use since it is similiar to Hondata.

I have an NA LS, and I have both P28 and P75 ECU's and my best results came from a P28. The car made more power and torque, and performed better for around town driving. The P75 on the other hand had the car very jerky at lower rpms which made it horrible to drive. The car barely idled ( Big Cams were a big part of the problem) and cut off a lot at stop lights. So IMO try to source a P28.
