Yeah, just look at the VIN # then look over the dash and see if there is a stick or not.
Just kidding guy, the tranny should be in the vin code, the engine is the 8th digit, dont know about the tranny.

get a vin number and run it on http://www.carfax.com it will say engine code and i think tranny code

thanks guys but I am looking for 99-00 civic vin stuff. 98 and 99 have different vins. Also, carfax doesn't tell you tranny type
