Default a/c fan questions

I sold my 5.0 notch that was giving me hell and decided that I want to go import again so I can get good gas and still have fun with mods at the same time. I'm looking at a CRX for sale but the guy says that the a/c fan only works on speed levels 3 and 4. Speeds 1 and 2 does not work at all. The a/c does however blow cold. Anyone know how this could be fixed. I want to know if it's simple or complex as I don't want to have to take the car to a shop to get the work done. Also I'm thinking perhaps that this problem may be a symptom of an even bigger problem.

I had a similar problem on my accord, it would only blow air on high speed, all i did was replace the blower resistor.

Next thing you know, problem solved. It's at least worth the time to check. Honda sells the resistor for a crx for 30.17 part# 79330-SH3-003.

Good luck and welcome to H-T.

Thanks for the quick response and glad to be on board. Glad it's nothing major and hopefully all will go well and I'll have my CRX by Friday. I'll definitely be back here for more answers.

Yeah, replace that blower resistor. Get it from Honda or five-finger discount at a junkyard (not that I condone that or anything )
