Default HELP me out again (Rear Wheel Cylinder)

I bench bleed my MC installed it, and went to remove/install my wheel cylinder. Once I removed the brake line from the cylinder and remove one of the nuts attached to the backing plate I realized how am I going to reach the other nut. There is no way to get my flare 10mm wrench in that small spot.

My manual sucks I feel like shooting somebody, its completely inaccurate. Chilton is complete useless. Can anyone help me out?

you have to unbolt the backing plate that is bolted to the trailing arm.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're trying to take off. Maybe it's the pic or something.

^theres two bolts that connect the wheel cylinder on the back of the backing plate. I got one off but in that picture my wrench will not fit in that extremely tight space where the other bolt it located.

Oh crap, I thought you were doing a rear disc conversion! My bad!! on me!

Can't you use an open end wrench? Looks like that is all that will fit in there right now.

^maybe a 10mm open will work, I was under the impression that only use flare wrench, but its not really important to use its because its not the brake line. My damn tool box has no 10mm just 7/16 or metric or something.

Come on, how are you going to have a Honda and no 10mm wrench?

10mm is a Honda owners best friend.

I just replaced both of mine yesterday, I had the same problem, I just used a 1/4in drive socket b/c it was thinner and fit.
Just my .02 cents

^lol its on a socket wrench. Anyhow I just realized do wheel cylinders come in different styles because I got two off HT from a EX sedan I have a DX same year but it's missing the nuts to screw on the backping plate. The current wheel cylinders, I'm screwing the nuts out of the cylinder itself.

If you removed one of the two nuts, you can turn the cylinder itself to remove it.

ok, like you said there are 2 styles of wheel cylinder, ones that have nuts and ones with bolts.
Mine came with bolts. The new ones came with nuts.
I got both off and on with a 10mm 1/4in drive socket. I may have used a 10mm wrench but Im not positive. I think the socket worked til a point where I used a pair of pliers to unscrew it the rest of the way.

^ I tried to move it but It wouldn't even go an inch, even with one bolt off.

Default Update need HELP!!

Updated: I bought rear wheel cylinder off a indivual on HT and guess what... they dont fit which I knew would happen.

Anyway here is my problem, I cant remove this screw from the backing plate. Chilton dosn't say anything but " remove the two screws from backing-plate" that **** took me two days and I had to grind a 10mm cercent to fit the extremely small space. Now I cant remove the screw at all its impossible.

Screw picture

back of the plate

Is it possible that the wheel cylinders(new ones) I will buy tomorrow will allow me to use this screw??

the ones I bought didnt use bolts like that, the cylinder had studs comin out and used nuts on the back.
I assure you it's not impossible to get that outta there. I just got mine off both sides the other day w/o taking anything off besides the shoe setup and whatnot
