I think the US gets something like 5000 units per year of production.

Default (none)

I don't know how "true" this is ...but I have heard from numerous dealerships and other S2000 websites that this model year (MY2002) is supposed to be the last year the S2000 will be available stateside.

But as I stated, I cannot verify that 100%.

i dont' believe it.
they can't keep them on the lots and they are the same as the ones in Japan. I dont' see them stopping production until they find a replacement.

Don't believe dealer bs when they say, "This is the last year". They are simply saying that so they can justify their price gouging. Honda cars are on a 5+ year life cycle. They are not going to spend a lot of r&d money just to put a car out for 2 years, especially if it is selling very well and is a halo car. Next time a greasy salesman tells you otherwise smack him like the little ***** he is.

The S2000 will be around for as long as the Integra '94-00 run lasted.
Trust me.

At the very least, I'd bet they make a 2003 modle because the Japanese car companies work on a four year production cycle, usually.

It's going to be around as long as the integra was.
The S2000 really is a bargain...I mean, compared to the boxster etc.
Do you know why it's so "cheap"..it's because tooling isn't expensive
to make a car if you make a ton of them. So, the more cars you make,
the less each one made costs Honda.
It will be around for a while...(teg schedule)
