Ok I have an 05 rsx, my engine totally fried, long story. Now I want to buy a new k20z1 engine and drop it in my car. What would i need? Would I need a matching ECU that goes with the new engine? or just the engine alone. Tranmission is ok.

you would need a transmission to as the z1 comes with a 6 speed and you only have a 5 spd.

 

No i got a type-s 6 speed, no harm to the transmission. but do i need the cpu with the engine?

 

doesnt the 05/06 usually come with k20z1?

 

I have an 05 Rsx type-s (k20z1) and I blow the engine. I found an engine on sale, do I need the ECU as well, and can I use the same key I used for my old engine. I remember each key as a code. Help!!

You're swapping a z1 motor for another z1 motor. You don't need anything else for the swap.

 

If the motors are the same ... you can use your stock ECU as well as your original key. Just drop the motor in and you are on your way!
