I cannot get my crank pulley bolt...
its seems that my crank pulley bolt is stuck. Ive tried a 1/2 impact and 180 psi air tank but it will not come off. If any one knows a special tool or something like that please let me know
Hey josh..

...I had my engine all apart once...head off and what not...couldnt get the bolt off for ****..had my friend bring different guns from his shop..had to put it all back together...drive to his shop for him to hit it once and come off.. its all in the air pressure
good luck..
(when I had my zc, I hacked up the bottom of the cover and pulled it from around the crank pulley...not the best method and I dont recommend it, but hey, I'm ghetto and lazy

I may be hard to find a place to do this becasue of liability, but I had a garage hit it with their impact, and then tightened it back up enough just to drive 5 miles back to my house.

on mine i had to use a breaker bar and this other tool that held the pulley in place. it was like a hexagonal wrench w/ a really big socket deal that went on the inside of the pulley and then you had to put the breaker bar inside that to get to the bolt and loosen it. i forget what the tool is called.
180 psi Air tank doesn't mean that you're applying 180psi on the impact tools. I have to adjust the pressure regulator up to 140psi on mine and it works. Normally I've seen it set to 125psi from the factory and the tank could stand up to 180psi.
Do a search in this forum. I just posted this topic a few weeks ago.
typing in "crank pulley" in the search window netted this result:

hth.
You might want to also try the breaker bar, suport it on a jack, then take the biggest hammer you can find and hit it. I have heard that this works pretty well. Also you might want to try heating it with a blow torch. You'll need to heat it for atleast 15 mins.
here is what you do, you have to weigh about 200lbs then get a braker bar. support the crank to where it can not spin with you. Then push real hard when your nuckles hit the pavement, that is when you know you have become a man. Oh yeah your crank bolt should be loose as well.
I was thinking of an easier solution and maybe it might work:
Try Putting the socket wrench on the bolt while the front is still jacked up in the air. Put a long pipe extension on it and tape it on so I doesn't fall. Lock the flywheel some how or just make it so the motor won't spin at all. Angle the wrench with extension so that when you lower the front end to the ground it will start to push on the wrench and gravity and weight will do the work to crack that sucker free.
If you do try this, let me know how it went. And if you don't under stand then never mind

i used a strap wrench (plumbing tool) to hold the crank pulley still, then a dad that benches 300lbs with a 1/2 breaker bar. the torque spec for that bolt is like 134lbs
