Thank you very very very much. I was on the phone with my insurance just 10 min ago. Just what i needed to convince USAA to give me what I want in case my 98 ITR is stolen. They were trying to say that if its stolen they are going to only give me blue book....
I told them im switching insurance companies
I am trying to get them to add the ITR into the collectors category, and will be following up with them tommorrow.

I'm curious to see what they say also. Although, I like my rates exactly where they are

I was curious what USAA considers value for it, the weird part is when I decided to use them to buy my R they offered me $17k to buy a 2000 with well over 100k on it, so would they value it the same when the **** hit the fan? I doubt it, can you get additional coverage for anything?
Ok well USAA offers no additional coverage. In other words if your car is wrecked/stolen then you only get bluebook value. Travelers insurance on the other hand does offer a service where you can insure your car up to a certain amount if anyone is curious. I did manage to show them the link. Me being 23 Years old, perfect record and pretty flawless credit, i am paying 540/6 months for full coverage with 500 deductible and with my 98 Civic EX Coupe added the grand total is 602 every 6 months. So I dont know if it helped, but reguardless the rates were good enough for me! In the end I ended up getting Nevy Federals Gap coverage for a grand total for $3.33/month

The way I understand it, you can only get GAP insurance from the company that is financing. USAA does not offer it if your loan is not thru them. That is factual. I dont think anyone would have any problems getting USAA to pay out. When I bought my car they offered to give me way more than the seller was asking. I also spoke with them a while back and they said my car was worth around 18k which is DAMN satisfying to me!!
