Noise From Front Driver side wheel
Hi all and thank you in advance,
93, Accord EX, Auto, 161K,
After a trip to the Dealer, I noticed a noise that is coming from the front Driver side tire.
Every time I go over a bump, I hear like steel on steel noise.
All ball joints look ok to me after checking them.
Any idea what could it be?
Thanks,
Joey

Brakes are new. About 6 months old.
The noise is coming from somewhere under the hood right above the spring/shock absorber.
I checked the spring, it is not broken.
Any idea?
does this car has any bushing in that area that goes bad?
Thanks,
Joey

A clank noise? Have you checked the swaybar end link bushings?

It happens everytime i go over a bump.
Again, it is like a knocking steel to steel noise.
it is coming from the Struts area, right under the hood.
Is there a way to check my upper control arm?
Thank you all again.

To check the upper control arm and ball joint??... Just jack up the front end of the car so that the front wheels are off the ground. Take your hand and try to move the tire in and out, if it's your upper ball joint/control arm, you'll definitely know for sure..
Hey I had the same problem with my 97 accord
The shop said that it was a piece of rusted steel that covers the treansmision
I think they were right because they fixed it and no more sound.
I also had the same sound when i was in 3rd or 5th gear at about 4 rpm.
Hope I was a little help.

that is exactly what i did. but no result.
the car has low suspension. I was wondering if they come with some kind of pads and the pad got worn out.
The noise sounds like it is coming from the top of the strut. The area where it is mounted under the hood to the fender.
Any suggestions.
Thank you all
