okey i have a b16a2 p28 ecu stock headers, aftermarket intake, 5zign exhaust but other than that noting.

well when i'am in like 2nd gear and i hold the rpms at 4,500 or 5,000 or anything higher my car starts to sputter really bad my car will back fire like 1 or 2 pops once in a while when i'am engine breaking or just slowing down any info on why? and how to fix this plz post thx

Could be alot of things, what have you checked? do you have any codes?

TPS, Fuel pressure come to mind.

 

is the p28 stock or is it chipped for a b16? are you using 93 octane? is your cap/ rotor/wires/plugs new and gapped properly? is the timing correct?

 

new cap rotor/wires/plugs and my timming was good. the p28 is stock where and how excatly do u find where it flashes codes it's on the ecu right? and do u turn the car on and let it run for a while are what to get a code? any other questions? help me with info plz

 

i use 87 octane and my car only get between 160 and 170 miles on a full tank city and some highway

the p28 needs to be chipped to run your motor correctly the ecu doesnt know what the hell its doing it wants to run a 1.6 liter and 1 cam am i understanding you right that you have a stock p28 running a b16?

 

yes it is a stock p28. so i would need to chip the ecu first and it should run normal?

 

yes the ecu you have is supposed to run something else you either need to chip the ecu or get the right ecu im suprised the ecu even runs the car the maps for the b16 are tottally different
