Our local dealer got about 5 Si cars in last year. Is honda not making (m)any of these cars, or are they all being shipped somewhere else?

 

I waited 1 month for mine, but that was because I was set on black and this was the only dealer that would go below MSRP

 

Depends on how many Hondas your dealer ship will sell. If they have a high sale rate then Honda will give them more cars and Si's to sell.

Most dealers will get anywhere from 1-2 a MONTH. Some get 3-4.

 

They are making 15,000 a year. Some people think thats a lot, but hey, more corvettes are made yearly than that...

 

If you order it..it will come

 

I ordered mine in march and got it in may.

 

Walked into the Dealership, they checked their records showing one will come in next week. Their was a two person waiting list but since I was there in person, they sold it to me.

What dealer is that? I'll go there! I was thinking that they were not sending any to michigan - I think I have only seen one in MI in the last year...

 

Just get on the waiting list and reserve one. By the time you find one on the lot, you will already have yours in.

 

I have one and I'm in michigan. I've only seen 3 other ones in Michigan. The dealership where I got mine from said they have had 3 come in but no one ever wants to buy one. They end up trading em with dealerships in florida. I can hook u up with the lady that sold me my Si. I went in looking for on on Tues and she had it for me on Fri. (Three days later) She called me when the truck pulled up with it on the back, to tell me it was there and I could come see it to make sure I liked the color. She wouldn't let anyone else test drive the car so there wasn't a bunch of mile one it. I got the car with 1.8 miles on it. Well anyways just let me know if you want her number. She will hook u up and find you an Si.

 

i reserved a black one but they kept ******* around with dates and prices so i called around and found a white one sitting on the lot that came in the day before

 

If you Detroit (metro) guys have a dealer that actually sells the SI, hook me up. The Troy dealer (Suburban) doesn't seem very interested in selling - shoot 5 in a year is nothing and 6 months is too long...

 

damn 1.8 miles? i guess my dealer took it out for a spin because i got mine "off the truck" and it had 14 miles

 

yep 1.8 miles. I took it for a test drive and it had 8 miles on it after that and when I went back to finish the transaction it still had 8 miles on it and 6.2 of the miles were from me test driving it.

 

hey r18a1fg, see if your dealership can hook Chaz up. my dealership isn't getting one in till Mid-Dec. one 2-door and one 4-door. they said production date 11/26.

Thats weird... You need to come to Sacramento CA, they've had 2 Galaxy Grey's in the last 2 months and 1 black one. the black one was out front for a few days and the GG has been there for a month at least. I drive by there everyday on my way to work.

 

Yeah, I used to work at a Honda Delaer and they only got about 2-3 every 2 months. Nice car, but I guess Honda's careful where they market it.

 

Honda is doing a new Marketing scheme. They dont stock up on SI's so that every SI that comes in the dealers get sold out.

Scion did this for a while on their TC's and it work, so I figure this is what Honda wants also

 

Our dealership here only gets one every 3-4 months... so it is very hard to get you have to basically know when one is going to hit the door like I did.

 

They FINALLY have 2 here in town since they came out. This is the FIRST i've seen them here in person.

 

15k a year. cool. I'm still not seeing alot of them though. does anyone know what the em1 si's total numbers and ep3 total numbers were?

 

How is the availibility of the Si in Los Angeles? I'm in Las Vegas looking to get one and the dealers are telling me that "we only get one every six months, there's no way they're going for MSRP." So I figured, f them, I'm going to Cali.
