Default Rear Motor Mount Question

I'm not a n00b, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the easiest way to replace the rear motor mount on a DC2, I don't have a lift, and I do have air, so throw out anything you can think of.

Thanks

Justin

Good luck!!!!

I did mine with basic hand tools and a couple wobble sockets. It was a pain in the ***, but I got it. I did use the jack to jack the tranny up just a bit to let the mount move so you can get it out.

no easy way about it, just start taking crap loose and move the engine forward a bit. i've done a couple of them and it seems easier just to go ahead and take the drivetrain loose and slide it forward.

basically the easiest and most effective way i have found is to use an engine hoist, and basically take everything loose like you were gonna take the engine out, but you don't have to take all of the fluid hoses loos or anything like that, just take the mounts and the linkage loose and use the hoist to pull the engine forward. i know it sounds like a lot of work but trust me its gonnna be a pain in the *** regardless.

but he doesnt have a hoist. Two ways I have done it before, bot are a pain in the ***, one i have taken out the rear mount and put the bolt through the rear bracket, which is pretty easy, but the front bolt that goes on the mount is a pain the *** to put on and you sit there forever basically. The second, have like two or three of your friends push or pull teh motor to get that bolt in and shoot it in with a impact gun or wrach, which ever fits. Thats not too bad either, but if you dont have help, number one is some easier by yourself

if you have a super long extension then you can get some of the bolts from the top, remove your intake and it wont be that hard.

Extensions + Swivel extensions = your friend for this job. Took me a good 4 hours to install the rear ES mount alone. Get some help too, I did it alone
