Spoon reinforced shift linkage = Type R shift linkage?
I read from Takakaira that the Spoon Sports reinforced shift linkage is the same item supplied on Honda Type Rs. Is this true?
There doesn't seem to be any mention of it(being the same items) on the Spoon web site. Thanks!

Spoon uses a bigger rod and extra welds and brackets to re-enforce it. It offer more accurate shifting and much better FEEL.
Hmmm...conflicting answers. So who's right and who's wrong?
Why would Takakaira state something that's not true?

"Installation of this Spoon Sports shift linkage with its respective stiffer bushes will result in a firmer gear change, which provides a better gear engagement feel. With this assembly, there will be no more miss-shifts. Material used for the shift linkage is also slightly lighter compared to the factory item. This is realized by utilizing hollow tube construction compared to the factory's solid steel bar. Stiffer bushes are used to take any slack during gear change. This shift linkage is a standard item on all HONDA Type R cars."

That last line from Takakaira's description about the Spoon shift linkage muddles up everything before it. "This shift linkage is a standard item on all HONDA Type R cars", hmmmm....?

the Spoon shift linkage is different from stock DC2R and EK9. most obviously, it is noticeably thicker.
this isn't a very good pic, but it gives some idea.

much thicker than GSR and others. I wouldnt doubt it if the spoon linkage was
just an ITR linkage meant to be sold to NON-ITR owners

Doesnt look thicker to me. You have to remember that ITR shift linkage is already
much thicker than GSR and others. I wouldnt doubt it if the spoon linkage was
just an ITR linkage meant to be sold to NON-ITR owners

whether or not it's worthwhile is individual preference
does thicker shift linkages make a difference? im about to buy do an auto/manual swap (i know i've been talking about it for a long time) and im missing an linkage.. does it matter what linkage i use? (i know.. just use any integra ones...)
but does some linkages make shifting faster? easier? smoother? etc etc.. i dunno anything about linkages..
