Bad Main Relay?
How can i be sure its the main relay thats not letting my car start? I checked everything theres spark- fuel- battery- car wants to turn on but it doesn't. It happened to me yesterday when i tried to take off to school and nothing- i came back from school and it turned on fine after i jiggled some wires under the steering wheel. Today same thing- car wont start for nothing- i tried jiggling the wires and the relay and nothing. Is this the last thing to check?
an easy way to tell is next time the car wont start. turn the ignition to the on position the check engine light should turn on then shut off after a sec or two. if this does not happen it is almost definatly your main relay.
If the light comes on and does not shut off. hit or kick the dash by your left leg in the drivers seat. the light should turn off. then the car will start.
The soldered connections in the main relay go bad after years.

i got a main relay a few minutes ago- hopefully it'll fix the problem. but yeah i turn the key to the on position and the check light goes away
