Default Fuse #1 on 89 CRX keeps blowing! Tach related.

The number 1 fuse under the dash keeps blowing after a few seconds of the ignition being on!! It says it is the reverse lights and turn signals. When it blows my tach and temp guage quit working!! Just started doing this after LS swap. But the car will run and drive fine! Any ideas?

try to find out what the number 1 fuse on the teg that u got the engine from is for and that might help a lil more check all ur wires to see if they might be spliced somewhere and making contact to the car chassis

when i did my obd1 conversion i had the same fuse blow, did you have to change plugs on the distributor? when i was changing the plugs for the distrbutor i i miswired the two white wires and maybe more lol anyways the car started but still not tachometer, i would check my distributor wires if you messed with them, i would also take the distributor cap off and check the wires on the ignitor they could be grounding out causing it to pop the fuse

as far as size it is right. I will have to go look at the teg and see what that fuse space is for. Whatever it is it isn't popping immediatly. I hope it's not in the distributer.

Also, it didn't start this immidiately after the swap. Only after the 3rd or 4th time of letting it run.

Check all your grounds and retrace all the wiring. The sad truth with these cars, is we all have atleast 25 years of history to trouble shoot before the true problems are addressed.

A bad ground won't blow fuses. A short to ground would.

Start by inspecting the bulb sockets for the turn signals and reverse lights.
