I just had a shop put in a b16a in my 90 seden. When the car is in idle the oil pressure drops between 1-5psi but when you are moving the pressure is fine. I am using an electrical gauge to see the psi. I have replace the sensor and the vtec sensor still no change plus the knock sensor keeps tripping and it been change to it driving me nut since i have not be able to drive this car hardle. Also the car vibrates real bad when in idle and while driving. Any help would be great. Thanks

 

what gauge are you using?,you sure its hooked up right,grounded and everthing ?

the vibration may be normal,what mounts do you have?

 

The shop put in an electrical gauge which i have removed and im going to have a shop pressure check the oil and run a compression test this weekend. The mounts are not rubber i think there urthaine (sp)

 

that is really low, could be a bad gauge, use a mechanical gauge , my mech one is about 25-30psi at idle when warm

 

used a pressure gauge and it hold at 15psi at idle i am going to change the oil to either 10w-30 or 20w-50 and see where it sits
