Default dei backup battery

I have a dei 520t backup battery connected to my clifford alarm and I was wondering, if I disconnect my battery while the alarm is armed should it go off?

thanks for the reply. I told my cuz (he installed it) that it should go off and he said that its not supposed to. Even though the directions say it should. Guess Ill check the connections tmrw. Any idea which is the - instant trigger input on the clifford matrix 3.5? Also should the 515r battery backup siren go off also? Right now it goes off if I connect one of its connectors (black, red or purple, green wasnt used). Thanks in adavance for any help.

Unless they have changed something the 520t is junk. Replace the battery with a better larger sealed battery and you will have a much better unit.

did he connect it the the hoodpin if you have one? How can he not follow simple instructions. How can he say its not to go off if its unpluged. If the instructions say so,rofl. You need to find anothor installer.

Yes the hood pin switch is connected to the unit but I dont have a switch right now because I messed up the mercury tilt switch I was going to install so I have to get a new one. Hes a good installer, this alarm he installed a couple years ago when he first came out of installer school. Should the 515r battery backup siren go off also? Right now it goes off if I connect one of its connectors (black, red or purple, green wasnt used). Thanks.

Edit: checked the wiring for the battery backup and the blue (- output to control module) which should connect to a ( - instant trigger input) is hooked up to the ( - door trigger input) . Which wire should it be connected to is it the ( - multiplexed input) ?
