Default Fan override for 4th gen?

Car's been running a little hot in stop-go traffic. Is there a way to wire up a switch without interfering with the normal circuit?

EDIT - 4th gen

check your coolant level(condition too) and condition of your radiator first. i'm sure you could do it easily though. run a switch from a 12v power source. use a test light to find one.

Also check your radiator cap, or have it pressure tested.

You shouldn't need a switch. Fix the problem. There is obviously something wrong if its getting too hot.

Well my bro and I are pretty much stumped right now.

It stays at normal operating temp 95% of the time.
Sooometimes (I guess when conditions are right?) it overheats during slow stop-go driving.

I had everything checked out: no leaks, pressure tested, checked relays and thermostat, everything seems fine.

I was thinking it could be the fan not turning on during the stop-go driving when its hot, so I went through the diagnostics as per the Honda repair manual.

But it doesnt add up...

When I was going through the fan control module diag, all wires were good but two (yellow, yellow/white) didnt have any voltage going through. But the fan is still capable of turning on after turning the car off if the temp is high. HUH?

So mayyybe the fan is working after all? But I don't know if its running when it should be though...

Maybe replace radiator? Some small sections of fins are smooshed...

Hm I think the way to do it would be to..

Tap into the C and D terminals of the fan relay and have those wires go to a switch while still having the relay on.

If I'm right, when the switch is off, the circuit should still operate normally through the relay. When the switch is clicked on, the C and D will be connected through the switch loop and start the fan.

Yay? Nay?
