Monday's wierd automatic Transmission problem
Hello whoever is reading this,
I am hoping that someone is familiar with my car's problem. This morning I could start my 89 Accord in park but not move out of the park position, then I used the manual shift release (that key thing next to the stick) and put my car in neutral. It started after a couple of silent attempts, the battery light on the dash was the only thing that came up when I did this. Both the RPM and temp gauges are now not working & the clock is black. I did check all of my fuses and they looked OK.
-Can anyone help me?
-Erich

You might want to remove the steering column shroud and look at the back of the ignition switch; overheated contacts will have a 'frosty' looking solder point on the back of the switch.
Thank you,I'll check it out after work. My turn signals are failing at the moment now too... my car is crapping out big time after years without a problem
