Default I HATE MY HYPER BLINKERS!!! Help!!

Only my driver side blinkers blink fast. It's not because of the bulbs because I replaced both of them. I checked the wiring where it's connected to the socket. I wiggle it around and it still blinks fast. I took the socket from the passenger side and put it in the driver side and still blinks fast. At night, the lighting on the bumper light is really dim. Once in a while, it would blink slow again after I would wash my car. It has to be something faulty going on. Someone once told me it was my blinker relay. I don't know where it's at to check. Any help would be great.

haha. I think there's a fray in the wire somewhere. There was someone on HT before who said he could test out the wiring or something like that to figure out the problem. I lost contact with him so we are back to the same old problems.

If you have the incorrect voltage bulb, it will do this. I like my hyper blinkers.

Check your fuses and check the harness, also make sure the bulbs are the right type!

fuses under the dash was checked. bulbs are the correct voltage. I can't check the harness after it goes through the engine bay. what fuse is it that I check under the hood?

If the bulbs and harness are good
Go to an auto parts store and ask for a Flasher(turn signal relay)

The turn signal relay is located under the driverside dash in the fusebox.

make sure the rear turn signal bulbs are correct and working, as this affects the front turn signal also.

Its just a big square one. I doubt that is your problem though. When those go bad they either stick on or the slow way down because the bi-metal inside the unit itself will weld itself to the contacts causing them to always be on or if the contacts are corroded they will flash slowly because of the resistance. To me it sounds like a wire shorting out somewhere intermitanly or it might even be in the switch itself.
Good luck with that

You say the switch, are you talking about the thing you hit up and down to make it signal? I think it's a wire shorting out somewhere too.
