Default warranty issues (koni yellow + gc top hat)

i just took out my suspension for the winter and as i was taking it out i notice that the tack nut on one of the rear shocks broke off, i had a hell of a time taking the shock off, since it just spun. i was wondering if koni would do anything about this, im pretty sure you can't weld over powdercoat since if it was that easy i would do it myself.

also i have ground control extended top hats, and one of the bolts thats pressed into the hat was not pressed in properly and it was a PITA to take out, i pretty much had to use vice grips on the bolt as i turned it with a wrench and mangled up the threads pretty good, there is no way i can/want to reuse this top hat, does ground control warranty the top hats as well? i bought both the koni's and ground control parts brand new from a shop but its thanksgiving in canada and they wouldn't be open today.

You're talking about the rear lower shock mount right? My Konis never had nuts tacked on to them (bought used, so maybe they did at one time?), so I just used the nuts off of the stock shocks. I'm not sure why it was hard to take the shock off, but you could just pick up the right sized locking nut and you'll be set.

Call GC directly, they might be able to ship one out to you. I believe this would be covered under warranty. http://www.ground-control.com
