Default Clutch Problems and Replacement Help

Hey whats good honda-tech. I tried searching but I couldnt find a tutorial on how to replace the clutch. I have a haynes manual i went through. Ive never dropped out the transaxle with the motor still mounted. How difficult is this job? I have alot of tools but may need some special ones for the job. I was told a cv joint seperator. Another question i have is that my vehicle started making a loud squealing sound that was was relevant with engine speed. I could also feel some sort of vibration or abnormal feeling in the pedal when i depressed the clutch. It also had some sort of chatter when taking off. The loud squealin sound is boggling me. What could it be? I was thinking throwout bearing seized or maybe the input shaft bearing or possibly the clutch assembly. What is your thoughts fellow honda-tech users?
Thanks

I would definitely have a friend help you drop the tranny. I thought I'd be able to handle it myself with a couple jacks, but having an extra set of hands to help hold things and line things up really makes a difference. As for a ball joint seperator, I always dropped my upper control arms to take axles out, since I was always afraid of damaged the balljoints/dustboots. Other than that, you'll need the standard tools, a couple jacks to support the engine/tranny, and some way to hold the crank or flywheel so you can loosen/tighten the bolts.

I remove the shock fork, remove any bolts holding the brakeline/ABS sensor line to the shock/spindle, then unbolt the upper control arm from the chassis, and the whole spindle tilts down and outward far enough to get the axle out.

Yeah, I think that works but if you need some tools Advance Auto or Auto Zone will loan you the tools. I remember separating my first ball joint. I must of beat on the damn thing for like an Hour with a hammer. You will need atleast a 3 lb hammer/mallet. If you choose that route you will see what I mean. The heavier hammer took one or two wacks and presto!

I can just drop my upper A Arm right instead of using a balljoint seperator?

No you don't have to. The easiest way to separate the ball joint is to use a ratchet in between the LCA and knuckle. It works every time for me.

Oh yeah, make sure when you put the tranny back on to make sure that everything is straight before you even try to put it on. Otherwise, you might knock the clutch plate around and have to realign it again.

Well, you are right unless it has been a long time before the ball joint has been separated. Once I initially broke it free, it was easy to do.

Naw i got a whole new exedy clutch, pressure plate, bearings, and flywheel.

I cant get the hub bolts off the cv axles. I broke 2 ratchets trying too do it. using a metal pole on the end of them for leverage. I used wd40 too help loosen em but they wont budge.

This maybe a stupid question but did you remove the cotter pin? Heat that bitch up with a torch or do what inspyral suggested. I swear nothing is ever as easy as it sounds or suppose to be when it comes to these damn hondas......especially the older ones!
