Default Help with alarm issue..!

I traded cars with a kid over the weekend and they both sat in my shop. It was about 3:30am and me and my bro were bored so we figured we would go change out some more stuff on the car.. Well bad thing is the kid took the keys but i turned the alarm on after I got done driving it befor he left... I open the door and there goes the alarm.. So i had to hurry and cut the wire to the horn because i had to remote.. I should have just un did the ground to the battery.. My prob is now when i connect the black and red wire back to the speaker the alarm will still go off.. the remote will not turn it off.. anything i can do to reset it some how?

Yes you can, if you have the car keys, use the valet/override switch, if you do not have the keys you will need to find alarm brain and just unplug it or supply 12V+ to the alarms ign. input and use the valet/override switch, make and model of alarm is needed, [for disarming without remote procedure] 94

First I hope you did not damage the alarm by cutting across the two wires causeing a short. Now look at fcm post above. Can you find the valet button?

hold the button down while turning on the ignition. Hopefully the installer did not reprogram the valet button to a series of presses. Most don't

I did that but it did not turn the siren speaker off, it did turn the flashing lights off.

That should be turn the ign. switch on, [first] and within 15 sec. press and release valet switch/button, and make sure it is the valet button and not the "VRS" button you press.

They may not have installed the VRS switch, also the valet switch/button is not on the alarm box it is plugged into the alarm box. 94

I think that brain took a shyt on you. Just unplug it and get a new one if all else fails.

Make sure it is the Valet/Program switch you are pressing, look at line drawing on page 2 for the Valet/Program switch port. it is a 2 pin blue port. the VRS port is a red 2 pin next to the blue 2pin Valet/Program port.
You can also use the remote to put it into or out of Valet......
Open a door, press and release button I then press and release Button II then press and release button I again.
