Default Walbro fuel pump problem

I just installed my walbro 255lph fuel pump on saturday, I've probably put 50 miles on the car and today the car dies, i think i got a check engine light signal about 2 seconds before the pump kicked out. Any ideas before I rip the gas tank out again? When I turn the keys I don't hear the relay or the pump.

hey i had simular problem, the pump drawls alot of power, sometimes people run the power wire from pump outta tank and to thier alternaator for more power.. some keep it stock, thats up to u, but makes it easier on tesing the power to the pump, neways u check ur main relay? and if not that check ur #14 fuse under dash, its the alternator soinoid check valve, that should be the problem. let me know how it turns out. good luck.

yeah you were right, it was that fuse. I put in a 15 amp fuse for now, do you think that will hurt anything? If it kicks out again maybe I will have to find a permanent solution.

It's harder on the electrical which may or may not die/burn out. But if the pump draws that kind of power the wires won't be harmed as much as if it wasn't, cause then you are overloading the system.
