Default well that settles it... I'm getting a 600 something as soon as I get a chance...

I have my superhawk and it's modded out. I love it to death. But it is older, has required a lot of recent maintenance and well, I'd like something else that's fi and turn that one into a track *****. Anyways I happened to get a chance to ride Brokenlimits' f4i this weekend while I was visiting him for the weekend and well... I liked it a lot. He has a pipe and a few other minor mods but the sensation of the acceleration is completely different from the superhawk. I was short shifting the crap out of it too. The suspension was quite spongy compared to my aftermarket setup on mine which was expected but the bike in general was a lot small and I'm sure with a little work handles a lot nicer then mine. So... basically that settles it. I'm getting a 600. I had pondered maybe a 1000 but insurance would be too high and the 600 should be gobbs of fun. I think I'm gonna look at 05/06 600rr's and the 03/04 636 (side exhaust, I hate the newer undertail one)

I think you'll have a blast on an RR or the likes.
I don't think i'll ever get a 1000 inline, the power is just too much for me. I had an F4i that was pretty fun. The acceleration is definitely intense, but I just got tired of shifting alot and constantly wringing its neck in order to get torque. I rode my friend's RR once and it was an incredibly agile feeling bike, and pretty torquey too for a 600.
I can't wait to see the dynos of the new RR. If i had the money i'd have one of everything. Good luck with your future purchase.

I dunno. once I'm over 25 I might. I know I've mentioned it before but I want more 750's out cause 130hp or some from them to me is just perfect as well as having enough torque. I do however refuse to buy suzuki. I just don't like the styling and well there's other reasons. for now getting a 600 will help me get used to the different riding style that i4's require compared to the v-twins. But I'll still have the superchicken when I'm in the need for torque. It'll save a lot of wear and tear on the superhawk as well.

My friend has a `05 600RR that he let me ride and I agree completely, it was just completely different than my F4i, I loveddddd it.

636 and RR would both be GREAT bikes to own, RR's are a dime a dozen nowadays so you know they are awesome, but it's also a turn off (for me atleast) to have a bike that so many people have...but you also have to keep in mind that Kawi's supposedly depreciate faster...

But really I'm sure you'd be HELLA pleased with both

I went back to a friend's F3 while my Superhawk was down (a few weeks before the accident occurred), and it reminded me of why I was glad to have gobs of torque readily available at all RPMs...the thing was gutless and slow. I had to wring the **** out of it just to get up to speed. With the SHawk, I could just roooooollllll on the throttle.

The newer 600s can accelerate faster than my Superhawk, but the only time I will ever be back on a 600 is if I am racing it.

well I need to learn how to ride an i4 sportbike and it'll be better to get the 600 since insurance would be murder on a 1000 now (gotta wait 2 years before I hit the big 25). This is why getting a race bike one or something is definetely a good idea. around town my superchicken is definetely better and more fun yeah yeah I know I said I'd turn the chicken into a track ***** but I'm not sure I could unless I decide no more street at some point

Actually, if you were to pick a much smaller bike to learn to ride, then that will help increase your skills a lot more. I'm not saying drop down to one of those EX250's, but if you start doing more trackdays, try an RS125 or, if you don't like two-strokes and the constant top-end rebuilds, a ZX-400R. Something that has little displacement, but good handling, will force you to carry more corner speed to make time. Not to say that I can carry crazy amounts of corner speed...just what I would do, if I had a chance to do it all over again, I would start with a GS500 or the 400 Ninja.

ugh. that'd be even more gutless even though I understand what you're saying. I want something I can take on the street (hence insurance) but will force me to learn to keep revs up and what not. this is why a 600 would be nice. plus I want FI

I'd love an 06 1000rr but that'd def require full coverage which would be outrageous until I'm 25...

that's just not worth it to me when I'm only 2 years off of my 25th. I'll wait. Plus a used 03/04 636 will be much cheaper and can be paid for in cash

well i pay $740 a year for my 01 f4i. and im only 19 so i dont see how yours could be that bad. but then again i have liability + theft so if i crash its all on me, but my *** is covered for theft. which i dont mind because id end up paying more for insurance than OEM fairings if i crash again.
