I just got a 2000itr motor from this guy and i paid $5000 for it. I went to jdmhondaparts and i they told me it looks like its been restamped. I called the CHP to check if the plate number wasnt hot and the officer told me theres no records on it, as for being stolen or wecked. Im still waiting on the paperwork on the guy and hes been lagging on me. I have no idea what to do now.... Right now im so pissed off and depressed at the same time. I mean i didnt pay 5000 for a stolen one. As for people who are looking for a motor, buy it from a shop and pay the extra.

I wish i could but i didnt buy it from a shop. even if i go with the law and take him to court its mine word vs his. And on top of that I only get back $2000-3000 plus i lose the motor plus i have a group pissed off at me prolly going to get me back... I have no idea what to do now. I mean i can spend MORE money by just getting a 2000-2001 B18c5 block new from the dealer but thats other $2000. I dont know what to do guys help me.

They all said it looked fishy Plus we had to compared to other 2001ITR and my 2000 Block number looks really different. I went to autozone last night to get some brake cleaner and i got a towel and i got some paint off it so now im really sure i got fucked.

Yea id like to see a pic also, here is a pic of my previous B16 swap, and you can clearly see where someone had removed the VIN plate. I later found out i had this setup: 99-00 Si tranny, 99-00 Si head, and a 92-95 obd1 SiRII block(no crank fluctuation sensor verfied it was obd1). And sense the block started w/ "1000......" meant it was a 1st gen b16.
