Default low oil pressure

today i found a leak in my oil pan, on my 01 gsr, where the oil drain for the turbo is, but the turbo isnt hook up, so i patched it up and its not leaking any more. but as when i started up the car, my oil pressure was only at 40psi when its usually at 70psi on a cold start. then when it warmed up it went to 10 then eventually 0. the engine is pretty much stock except for an intake. any one have any ideas on what it could be?

Sounds like either a loose oil pickup or oil pump about ready to fail.

Low oil pressure is actually very rarely due to a bad oil pump. It actually is usually indicative of a spun bearing.

change your oil filter....it might not fix the problem but its better to replace a $5 part rather then $1500 because you have no oil because the filter is clogged.

now that i think about it i would get a oil pressure gauge that that you can hook up where the oil pressure sending unit goes and make sure that your gauge in the car is reading correctly before you start freaking out
