AC/Heater not working at all need advice.
bumpy i need help should i just buy a new climate control? is there any way to get the jdm to work wihtout all that other stuff? im not talking to work fully just to work so i can have heat and air? or yall think the problem is something else?
It might be the solder inside the unit. The connections are known to go bad. I had a unit go on me in my 92 with 200k. And I think the unit in my 95 with 160k is starting to go.
If it is just a start you will notice lights in the control not working and delayed responses from the a/c, blower, defrosters, and positioning.
The old solution I had is to choose what I wanted and then slam the top of the dash board and it would usually switch.
The actual way to fix is to take out the unit resolder all the connections and put it back in.
SUMMARY Common problem. solder conections inside unit

just to get the blower motor to work you need power to it, can you verify power. It is ground side controlled, blower motor relay is on the fuse panel also, power goes through it anytime the key is on, if it is good of course. Power goes through the motor to the resistor that makes it capable of having different speeds. Then power goes through the main switch (speed selections) to ground.
So you could have a blown fuse, bad blower motor relay, bad blower motor, bad blower motor resistor (high speed portion), bad main switch.
If the blower does not work then heat or AC will not work either, you must start here.

your blower is not working for what ever reason.....you will need to fix that to find out if anything else is wrong
the blower is on the far right, then the heater core.....which the valve is controled by the lever on the climate control(electrically in the jdm)
check to see if the blower works, then check the relay, then check to see if the climate control is sending signal(solder points might be cracked like they said)

the cable goes through the fire wall and connects on the other side there is a valve in the heater core line. that is what regulates hot and cold. tha valve is located basically right behind the transmission/ a little lower then the throttle body on the firewall.
The jdm climate control I dont believe is that hard as long as you take the dash out. and have all the parts and the tutorials.

its attached in the engine bay is there a way it could have possibly came loose inside the dash? i remember reading a thread somewhere about a common problem where the cable wont move at all could this be the same concept?
