Default Help me make a decision.

Alright well I have a 90 Crx HF that is good condition (considering its rust free in Minnesota)

Current mods:
90-91 Civic Ex front brakes (has brembos and pbr pads)
90-91 Civic Ex brake master cylinder
Front strut bar
90-91 Crx Si front seats
90-91 Crx Si gauge cluster
92-93 Integra Gsr rims with Falken Ziexs
Lowered on with some coil overs
new ball joints

I plan to sell it and want to come up with the most money making way .

i currently just put a b16 in it with a ys1 lsd converted to obd1. Well went to start it and found out it has a spun bearing. So now i have to pull it and this is where i'm stuck on what to do.

i could get a b16 short block for $200-300 and reassembly it and put it back in (i'm pressed for time) (motor would have the ys1 lsd, newer exedy clutch, lightened flywheel, CAI, header, fpr)

Or

I could put a spare d15z1 in it. (woudl be all stock) and sell the b16 head, ys1 lsd tranny, mounts, shift linkage, front knuckles (i have spares laying around), and a rear disc conversion.

now don't get me wrong I really want to keep this car but i'm gettin deployed and figure i could just buy a dope *** California car when i get back from Afghanistan.

This is not a for sale thread cuz i'm not even positive if i want to sell and I'm just trying to figure out if I would make more money putting a b-series power plant in it or if I should part the b-series power plant and drop the d15z1 in.

I'm kinda rambling let me know your opinions.

i would honestly put the d15 into it cuz ppl like to buy stock cars. youd make more off of it by parting out the b16 parts that work. im rebuilding a d16a6 motor to put back in my hatch cuz itll be clean and stock so i think the value will be higher.

If your going to sell it i guess but a d. But think also at the price of a b18a. If your head is in good shape still do a ls/vtec

I get deployed in January. I won't be driving it in the snow and i figure i can just but a mint Crx when i get back with my pocket full of cash .

But it does suck cuz I'm starting to build it the way i want to.

FA THREAD FS THREAD!!!

BAN!!!!

jk

isnt the z1 that vtec-e engine?

that things gonna be a tough sell with that power plant, i dunno man.

if you already have the mounts and linkage in the car, get a b18a/b for CHEAP with tranny and all. dump that in there.

sell the b16 stuff and then sell the car as an LS swaped ef. you can at least ask for more then blue book value with that type of swap.

ya that was my only other concern was how well it will sell with a d15z1 in it. I guess i never thought of putting a b18 in it but that does make good sense cuz then i could sell the b16 parts for more loot

hmm you just opened up a new idea.
