Default Warranty Questions

I have a couple questions about my warranty and what will void it. Will all of the following void my warranty and will it void the entire warranty or just parts of it?

1. intake
2. exhaust
3. HID retrofit
4. hondata

Thanks for your help in advance

-Pat

This one will void all parts of the warranty related to the engine. There is no way to argue effectively against it because you would have to thoroughly research what you have altered and how it affects the running of the motor (and even the drivetrain), and you have also presented Honda with a situation where you have blatantly violated federal law with relation to emissions and motor management.

if you just put HID is stock housing without using a retrofit then yes it wouldn't be covered, it could fry your harness and then what?

the reflash is Totaly voildable , the intake exhaust and hid is fine , but like the other guy said if you fry your harness then what....

why dont you just get projectors plug n play and not only it looks good but is very huge visablity because the way the lens are designed

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headlight

look @ the part where it says projector optics and this website wil tell you everything you need to know about headlights whats best and whats not , sure hid gives you that blue look but projectors can too ... oh and if you just put the 9006 projector bulb dont expect to be a real hid its onlh hid looks lol it needs the bublas which some ppl dont know tahts why iadded this

Here is an example for the record.....

You install a CAI, and your motor hydrolocks. Warranty will not cover it.

You install an after market steering wheel in your car, and you take it to the dealership to turn off the SRS light. Warranty will not cover it.

You install an upgraded clutch, and you snap an axle somehow... warranty will not cover it.

You install a CAI, and your rear defroster quits working, they cannot deny you warranty repair because your car has been modified.

You install an aftermarket steering wheel, and your seals on the wheel calipers start to leak... You are covered because they cannot deny you warranty repair because your car has been modified.

You install an upgraded clutch, and your seat starts to wobble... you are covered simply because they cannot deny you warranty repair because your car has been modified.

Any questions?

Thanks for the info. I was contemplating fixing-up my ride but aint touching mine till the warranty dies (of natural causes). Plus I just might trade up around the end of '07. My broke-*** could not possibly afford a massive out of pocket repair bill. I just don't want ANYTHING to screw with the warranty/resale value.

If you are looking to buy an Si in a year, then you are right the LX is not worth adding modifications.

They will usually void anything in the suspension. End links, bushings, ball joints, tie rods and such.

Which is why I am waiting to go head first into the suspension on my car.

Depends who does the install I believe. If the dealer installs aftermarket suspension, they will only cover it for a year. Otherwise, you will void your suspension coverage if you do the work.

There was talk about this in another thread. I believe it was something about the Tien Flex suspension.
