Oil in spark plugs, how serious?
Hi,
I have oil in my #2 spark plug. No, other problems. Runs fine, starts and idles fine, gas mileage still good, no noticable oil loss.
Is this a...
1) Only drive to the shop, get checked out immediately problem
2) Get it to the shop as soon as its convenient, eg next 1000 miles
3) Don't worry about it, drive until other symptoms occur.

Thanks,
Scott

nah id get it checked and fixed asap.. the gaskets under the rocker arms are bad, its a easy fix and there is a write up on how to do it somewhere round here. Im pretty sure someone will post it and if u do fix it up yourself. Probably should also do the valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets
Not sure what gasket is under the rocker arms but valve cover gasket set with spark plug hole gaskets will do the job. Do it yourself NOW and prevent a set of plug wires later, the oil will saturate #2 wire boot and it will go bad later, forever.
There are o-rings under the rockerarm assembly. They are probably what is leaking. When the oil gets high enough in the tube, it will short the spark plug. This will make the engine miss, and run terrible. I have put a link below for you to check out. It sounds like you will not be doing this yourself, but it will give you some insight into the problem. Good luck with it.
