Default weight reduction

what do you suggest would be some of the first steps in weight reductions in a 97 2 door acoord ex?( like back seats,spair tire,???)

i dont know about you guys, I'm all about weight reduction....

but I will never drive on the streets w/out a spare...maybe thats just me...track or whatever, go for it...but thats is one thing I always keep in my car

definatly should always keep a spare and jack in the car. then when you race just set it down in the pit area.

seats, jack, spare, carpet, sound deadoning, roof liner, door panels, all plastic crap on sides of trunk, speakers, center console, motor on driver seat (if you have EX), A/C, P/S, cruise control, "swiss cheese" da bumpers, lexan windows/sun roof.

there is much more im sure, thats just off the top-o-the head.

plus for drag racing, or racing anybody for that matter, make sure you odn't eat and take a **** before u race ;P

I'd rather add a turbo than lose all the nice ammenities

Everything stays (especially the spare). Get lighter rims, lose the bass box, and a carbon fiber hood. Not to mention, lose some of your OWN weight... like if you weigh more than 240 go on a diet ... hahaha... that's another 60-70 right there + about 50 or 60 for the hood. heheheh maybe 10 or so for the rims.

well I had some parts out of the car so I weighed them, these are pretty accurate;

passenger seat=#45
back seat cushion=#13
back seat upright and trunk carpet=#28

tar and sound deadining for passenger compartment=#22

yeah for real, you dont see fat asses racing cars do you? i only weigh 130 or some(yes im a skinny punk) and its good for racing
